Theraputic Services
Therapy can be a process of unfolding for individuals and families. Whether deepening insight and self awareness, increasing compassion, or finding new ways to address life, the process of readying one's self for change can start in the quiet, reflective space of therapy.
I provide in person and virtual psychotherapy and consultations to residents of Illinois and Indiana, as well as professional consultations nationwide. While my therapeutic approach is eclectic, I rely on a psychodynamic understanding of the lifespan, third wave (DBT, ACT, MI) behavioral approaches to change, and I center the importance of self-integration.

Maggie Ruble, LCSW
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, having earned my Master's degree in Social Work at the University of Chicago Crown School, and my undergraduate degree in Philosophy at Colorado College. My 11 years of experience include work with adolescents, adults, families & couples, in a range of settings - outpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, schools, hospitals, and college counseling centers.
I work from a dynamic perspective, incorporating the use of insight, nonjudgemental observation, humor, and curiosity, to work toward client's fuller understanding of self, and the function of thoughts, actions, and behaviors. My clinical areas of interest and specialty include family therapy, adolescent mental health, eating disorders [with a binge eating specialty], PTSD and trauma, and affective disorders.
